Voice Masterclass with Nicholas Phan

Tenor Nicholas Phan will give a masterclass to students in partnership with the Osher School of Music at the University of Southern Maine. The masterclass will run for approximately 1.5 hours, features music by women composers, and is free and open to the public to attend. Reminder that tickets to the Winter Warmer concerts are FREE for full time students and everyone aged 21 and under!

Described by the Boston Globe as “one of the world’s most remarkable singers,” American tenor Nicholas Phan is an artist with an incredibly diverse repertoire that spans nearly 500 years of music and who performs regularly with the world’s leading orchestras and opera companies. Also an avid recitalist, in 2010 he co-founded the Collaborative Arts Institute of Chicago (CAIC) to promote art song and vocal chamber music, where he serves as artistic director. He also has served as guest curator for projects with the Bravo! Vail Music Festival, Laguna Beach Music Festival, Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, Merola Opera program, WQXR, and San Francisco Performances. A celebrated recording artist, Phan is a recipient of the 2025 Grammy award for Best Opera Recording, and is a four-time nominee for Best Classical Solo Vocal Album.
